Description

These “Capacitor Hats” provide a neat way to make connections to the tops of large, screw-terminal electrolytic capacitors, while also providing a stable platform to mount components like bypass capacitors and drain resistors.

Component pads cover most of the surface, allowing a wide variety of components to be mounted. Wire pads along the edges connect multiple wires up to 12ga. Double-sided PCB. Reversible.

Shown in the example below is a 50mm diameter capacitor, with a Capacitor Hat equipped with a 47µF electrolytic capacitor, a 0.1µF polypropylene bypass capacitor, a 4.7KΩ drain resistor, an LED resistor, and LED power wire.

In this GFA-565, a pair of 65mm diameter capacitors, with 0.1µF bypass capacitors, and 4.7KΩ drain resistors.

*There are two sizes.

• TYPE 7/8″ / 22.22mm will accommodate capacitors with standard 7/8″ lead spacing, or between 21.8-22.4mm. This includes most capacitors with a diameter around 2″ or 50mm. Check your datasheet to be sure. The board is 50mm in diameter.
  
• TYPE 1-1/8″ / 28.55mm will accommodate capacitors with standard 1-1/8″ lead spacing, or between 28-28.6mm. This includes most capacitors with a diameter around 2.5″ or 60-65mm. Fits Adcom GFA-555, GFA-565, GFA- 585, etc. The board is 60mm in diameter.
